Sound of the Book: “American Gods” and Slightly Stupid “Anywhere I Go”

Here comes the second installment of my Sound of the Book series.
This song, to me, represents the connection between Shadow (main character in the book) and his wife Laura. Anywhere he went … she was with him.

For me, this book and song came together, when I started dating my wife (back then girlfriend). The connection between Shadow and Laura intertwined with the melody of the song and it’s lyrics to embody the feelings that we were developing for each other.

Enjoy and please share your thoughts with me.

American GodsAmerican Gods by Neil Gaiman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Excellent book. Beautifully written and the story line is amazing. The character development is on the level with Cormac MacCarthy’s work. The story draws the reader in and refuses to let go.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading.
