On the Trail of Genghis Khan: An Epic Journey Through the Land of the NomadsOn the Trail of Genghis Khan: An Epic Journey Through the Land of the Nomads by Tim Cope
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a long and fascinating tale of adventure, history and culture. Tim Cope delivers an exciting story, that at some points can be almost fiction, about his ride from Mongolia to Hungary in the steps of Genghis Khan.
Along with amusing stories with people and animals, he brings forth a picture of history and culture of the people from various regions from 13th century to modern world.

Most importantly, I believe this is a story of hunger for adventure and desire to experience the world as it has been viewed by men for the larger part of human history. Before the time of internet, cars and plains, men viewed the world from horseback and lived a symbiotic existence with earth and nature. Tim Cope, a man who grew up in a modern world of Australia, rides into that world and brings us his firsthand experience.
