Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow!!! What a journey!!!
The last book was definitely amazing. The final revelations were deep and complete. We are treated to a well detailed and encompassing explanation of the events and mysteries of Harry Potter’s life and the struggle against the Dark Lord.
The entire series is a roller coaster of a journey that kept me craving for more. I am almost sad that it has ended. I can just imagine the frustration readers had to endure while the books were not yet published.
I have to say I am deeply impressed by J.K. Rowling’s skill of creating a story that is capable of enticing the imagination of adults as much as children. There are very few books, that I can think of, which would be equally entertaining to such a wide audience. In my opinion, Harry Potter series is actually a more encompassing story for adults then it is for children.
I am looking forward to discussing it with few kids that have read the book and see if they were able to grasp all the details and complexities of relationships, life lessons and philosophical postulates of the story.
This series is for sure in the ranks of my “All Time Favorites”!!!
Can I set up a playdate for you and Matthew. He finished a few months ago and is in desperate need of a bookclub buddy.
Sure thing … I’d love to hear his review of it 🙂
