The Forever War by Joe Haldeman

Easy read and somewhat predictable story. However, it is very entertaining and engaging.
Haldeman creates a story with realistic military complexity and stupidity. His use of time dilation in space travel, which is often ignored in sci-fi novel, adds an intriguing and thought provoking angle to the narrative.
Finally, the cause for war with the aliens makes one consider all human conflicts and why we are often so ready to kill each other.
Fun read.
